Making Climate Pay, 1st Edition: Southeast Asia

Developing editorial products relating to climate that are self-sustaining and attractive to commercial sponsors is difficult.

With the right approach, however, these can give content creators an exceptionally useful vehicle for imparting climate consciousness to their audience and enabling a valuable revenue stream. 

This report, based on the insights gained in the cXc Southeast Asia knowledgeXchange in late 2023, models and prototypes a series of editorial ideas conceived by newsroom teams across Southeast Asia. All have multi-platform approaches that consider a range of factors, from audience to revenue source, and are designed to bring a contemporary and fresh approach to climate information outside of traditional editorial activations. 

All are potentially viable, and utilise cXc’s proprietary business modelling canvas for climate journalism.
